There’s something wonderfully romantic about a house with a name.
Inspired by the hand-painted house signs found across Italy, Portugal and the Mediterranean, our personalised ceramic tiles are created to give your own home that same sense of character and story.
Each set is individually hand-painted in our signature royal blue Blue Robin motif or Fynbos Green, then personalised with your house name, or house number and street name, making it completely unique to you.
Designed to live beautifully at an entrance, beside a front door, on a garden wall or somewhere special inside your home, it’s a piece made not simply to decorate a house, but to become part of it.
PERSONALISATION
Choose a house name, or house number and street name, with up to 20 characters in total. Spaces, numbers and special characters count towards the character limit.
MADE BY HAND
Every tile is painted entirely by hand before being glazed and fired. Subtle differences in brushwork, colour, glaze and shape are a natural part of the process, meaning no two sets will ever be quite the same.

CARE INFORMATION
Our ceramic pieces are individually made, glazed and fired by hand. As part of this artisanal process, slight variations in size, shape, colour and finish are completely natural, and tiles may not be perfectly symmetrical after firing. These subtle differences are part of the beauty of handmade ceramics and make every piece uniquely yours.
To care for your piece, gently wipe clean.
INSTALLATION
Our tiles can be installed directly onto a plastered wall, just like any other ceramic tile.
Apply a suitable exterior tile adhesive to the back of each tile, press firmly into place, and once set, grout around the tiles for a neat, finished look.
For outdoor installation, we recommend using an exterior-grade tile adhesive and grout suitable for your wall surface and weather conditions.

We currently ship to all major cities and most regional areas across South Africa. Unfortunately, some remote or rural farm locations may fall outside of our courier network or incur extended delivery lead times. LEAD TIMES ON CUSTOMISED PIECES
Each custom tile piece is painted by hand especially for you. Please allow approximately 3–5 working days for painting, followed by up to 2 weeks for glazing and kiln firing.
We therefore ask that you allow up to 3 weeks from order confirmation before your piece is ready for dispatch. As each piece is handmade and firing schedules can vary, these lead times are approximate and may occasionally shift slightly.

If you're ordering for a particular date or occasion, we recommend allowing a little extra time — handmade things are worth not rushing.
A NOTE ON THE FIRING PROCESS FOR CUSTOMISED PIECES
Every tile is individually hand-painted, glazed and kiln-fired. Ceramics can occasionally crack or be damaged during firing — it’s an unpredictable part of working with clay and heat. Should this happen, we will of course remake the affected tile at no additional cost to you. As the replacement will need to be hand-painted and fired again, this may extend the original lead time slightly. We’ll always keep you updated if this happens.

Each Hunter & Snow piece is handmade in small batches and carries the quiet marks of its making. Variations in texture, tone, glaze, shape and finish are part of the character of the piece and are not considered faults, but rather evidence of the human hands and natural materials behind it. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
We carefully inspect every item before shipment to ensure it meets our quality standards. While slight irregularities and imperfections are expected and celebrated, damages or manufacturing faults are not. If your order arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery and our team will gladly assist with a replacement.
As all pieces are handmade and approved individually before dispatch, we do not offer returns based on natural variation or perceived imperfections shown within the accepted character of the product. Product imagery online serves as a guide and subtle differences will occur from piece to piece.
